In ancient times, when a family lost a loved one, they invited the healer to come and spend time with them. Together the family would share, express, and learn to cope with their loss. TGA revives the ancient grief methods used by Anishinaabe people from generations past. The workshop helps those suffering from grief and abandonment. Elder women share traditional woman teachings, while elder men share the roles and responsibilities of being an Anishinaabe man. Participants leave with traditional tools to cope with grief and abandonment and live a healthy life.
Preserving Anishinaabe Elders stories through video and podcasts for future generations.
